Building Canterbury’s Dream Homes

My Story:
I never grew up dreaming of owning a building company. My love for the building industry in Canterbury came later in life when I felt a bit lost after leaving nursing school.
I started working at a local furniture store and soon realised I wanted more. That led me to a role as a sales assistant for a flooring company, where my passion for house design, construction, and working one-on-one with clients was born.
To deepen my skills, I completed a certificate in Project Management and began working on commercial projects across Christchurch during the rebuild.
Around that time, I also built my first home. That experience made me realise I wanted to help others do the same, taking what I’d learned in flooring and expanding into residential building.
I was fortunate to join the local building franchise that focused on the Christchurch South area as a Building Consultant, an opportunity that shaped me into who I am today. Over four years, I grew my knowledge of design, consultancy, and, most importantly, the value of empowering clients to advocate for themselves throughout their build.
Although my time with that franchise taught me so much, I knew I wanted to go further into project management and become an even better asset to my clients. When I joined a small investment-focused building company in Canterbury as a Project Manager, I soon stepped into the role of General Manager. That experience took my passion to the next level and showed me just how capable I was of starting my own business with my own values and a fresh approach to building new homes in Canterbury.
What Makes Triangular Homes Different?:
When I decided to launch Triangular Homes, I sat down and asked myself what I wanted this company to stand for. If I was going to be another Canterbury home builder in a sea of options, I needed a strong why.
My why became my what: What makes me different from the next Christchurch builder you see online?
It’s my experience, and the range of clients I’ve been fortunate to work with, that have shaped my approach. I believe in sharing my knowledge so you feel confident in every decision. I’m committed to having the tough conversations, whether it’s about budget limitations, expectations versus reality, or when something doesn’t go as planned.
When you work with Triangular Homes, you’ll finish the design phase excited to move forward, knowing exactly what to expect at each stage. Your build isn’t just another lot number on my whiteboard. It’s a dream we create together. That’s my promise.
